Most of the world's largest consumer electronics (CE), PC and accessory companies unveiled hundreds of new products at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Association Show. 3D HDTVs gained the widest attention, but there were numerous other technology advances in electronic books, mobile phones, computers and peripherals and even strategic partnerships between several industry leading manufacturers and leading service providers.
Everyone had a tablet, almost everyone showed off 3D television, yet with all the big guns going to another dimension at the Consumer Electronics Show, it was actually one of the Chinese-based American upstart CE and Appliance makers that stole the show.

2010 CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW PREVIEWDespite the recession, and the closing of thousands of national electronics stores and many regional and mom and pop stores, there is no shortage of new products coming out of the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
Tough as times are, there are certain products that seem recession proof or that have dropped so far in price that that they become affordable for many more consumers. Add to that the fact that those watching their budgets purchase CE and PC products instead of going away on expensive vacations, or those who need a new computer or printer to aid in a job search , and some manufacturers actually had a decent December.
Consumer tech: DecemberQ: I recently saw celebrities at a Red Carpet movie opening taking videos with a palm size camera...during the World Series I saw the hated New York Yankees using the same device to take videos of their fans. I also saw some of the “in crowd” using an MP3 player that was NOT an IPod or IPhone. Is the world changing its technology on me? What are those devices? Are they any good or just a PR plant?
